If you see someone blocking a bike lane, then you can submit a photograph of them doing it (or framegrab from your helmet camera).
They won't get done for it, but at least you can name and shame repeat offenders

How can you shame someone when they're not bothered about it in the first place? A better idea is to lobby your local authority to get rid of the cycle lane - nasty horrible things.

I have an album on my Facebook page 'Rude People' quite happy to post pics of bad parking & other offenses - and yes, if i could get a photo of cyclists RLJing they'd be in it too
I live in a village, someone always recognises who the car belongs too!

I was going to go and complain to the ice cream vans parked on Westminster Bridge today - they're there everyday (up to 4 of them) blocking the cycle lane, bus lane, and red route, when I got to the first one there were two council types already there confiscating the keys and giving one a right go - I didn't need to do anything. There'll be back tomorrow no doubt.

Agreed, I saw a car parked in a cycle lane today, unloading a couple of bikes. They didn't even seem to be trying to be ironic about it

I can never see the point of the "name and shame" brigade, most people wouldn't give a toss if they were on that sort of site and these websites are practically unheard of anyway. If one does become "famous" then you will get a lot of the "yoof" trying to get themselves onto the site as a badge of honour!

Considering how angry some people get in the comments of youtube vids they've been shown up in I'd say it's pretty effective.

I can't workout how they find themselves on youtube! Do you think "I've cut up that cyclist must check youtube to see if I'm on it"?

The cyclist tells them to look up their reg on YouTube. They put their reg in the title of the video so anyone Googling the reg will likely get it appearing at the top of the search results. Doesn't happen that often, but it happens.

So if you cut up a cyclist, can see the video from the cyclists point of view, i.e. from their headcam, why then abuse them about your bad driving? Has the UK public forgotten how to say sorry?

I quite happily post pics of cars blocking pavements/kurb drops, parked in child or disabled bays as well as cycle lane parkers... The ones that are in the first catorgories end up getting a lot of grief from family members who see those pics & fall into the catorgories that need those spots

I do reckon, as I very much doubt halfs, parents, siblings, employers or friends would give a fig either.
Employers maybe if it was in a company vehicle but other situations nah.
