Aye looks like a stinkhorn, should have left it to grow, you would have had a small phallus in your garden. talking point of all the neighbours.
you can point out how it attracts flies ;)

i keep wishing to find liberty cap growing in my garden (Psilocybe Semilanceata) but the best i can make do is some agaricus campestris just accross the way from my house (field mushrooms)
they're fantastic with bacon, chilli and melted cheese ;)
i'd love to see some Amanita Agaricus on the field in front of my house mind, (fly agaric) they looks wicked.

Not sure you'd get far with Kew - no money in it for them. I generally come here for advice regardless of the topic - I can usually understand what people are saying, unlike on the specific geeky sites, where people assume a base level of knowledge that's way over my head.
