Hi. Has anyone been on NCN1 Essex - Herts borders...

Tried following it with help from Sustrans NCN route shown on't website. But the route changes to NCN61 at some point.

I assume NCN1 is continous??

Sustrans site shows a proposed section of NCN1 around Hoddesdon to Harlow area roughly where NCN61 is shown.

Routes are not always continuous with the same number, and some will have two numbers.

Because the Network has been built by local Councils and under a project heading it is possible that (as in this case) Route 61 is there already and then Route 1 runs along it at the same point. Signing will catch up.

Yes - makes sense now. I just assumed being route 1 it would be finished and continuous.

Looks like proposed route might follow River Stort...?

NCN1 path from Fishers Green Essex to River Lee is nearly all brand new. Was well impressed with that and the signage.
