was out on the club run this morning and dropped the rest of the group 
on a hill between hartfield and edenbridge, and even though i backed off they never caught back up. so i was riding solo and decided to deviate from the route slightly to take in my favorite descent down cudham lane, great me thinks
so i get to the top of the climb through and out of knockholt from polhill and turned left onto cudham lane and started bombing down the descent. about a third of the way down there is a t junction with cars having to give way to join cudham lane, so i'm flying along at 30+mph not worrying as its straight and there's good visibility (or so i thought). i see the corsa waiting to pull out, and think well there's no way he'll pull out - he must have seen me... evidently not he pulled right out in front of me, and i think the only reason im not in hospital at the moment is that i was on the drops, which just gave me the handling to skirt past his front bumper ( i cant have been more than an inch away) the other option being a full on collision with the driver side door...
needless to say i was rather upset but the appauling driving and i let the driver know about it too, scared the shoot out of me it did, feeling quite lucky atm...
