need a bike

my son (16) has decided to accompany me on a trip from rotterdam to vienna and will need a bike. Need a hybrid ideally and quick. A new one will not have time to bed in and get adjusted. Can collect if good deal. Is this the right forum ? Help please !

There's not much to bed in on a new bike. Have a look at the Carrera Subway bikes from Halfords for a budget hybrid that will take a rack and panniers. I bought one for my son and it proved to be indestructable and reliable until it was stolen.

I bought it boxed and once assembled the only adjustment that I had to make was to take up a bit of cable stretch in the brakes - not a challenging task.
