Hi All,

The frame on my recently acquired 2nd hand bicycle turns out to have a nasty crack in the alu back by the rear derailleur. The Ultegra components are worth transplanting to a new frame.

Question is: I'm looking for a new Alu frame. Can anyone recommend any brands for less than £300 ?

Nope, I need a 58cm frame..

Thanks for the link to Ribble, prices look good! I'm looking at the 7046 Sportive Curved Frame.

Anyone know about their quality ? Is it good, bad, ok ?

Thanks!

Ribble have (had?) a less than stellar reputation for customer service on delivery of fully built upbikes.
I've never a bought a frame from them but on lots of other bits I've had from them they've always been just fine.

Ribble might get some bad press but it's normally about the customer service, product reviews always seem good. Well happy with mine but it's a carbon one not alu.

Planet X do all kinds of frames in your budget including carbon: http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/c/q/frames

If you buy an ali frame try to get a carbon fork at least.
