Hey all,

Ok so I've been trying to find a pair of decent padded tights for weeks. Have actually sent back 6 pairs now and it's getting ridiculously expensive on postage!

Does anyone have any advice on where to get some decent ones?

I'm a Size 8 and 5'8"/5'9"

Thank you

:sun:

I'm a big fan of DHB tights and shorts. Free returns via Collect+ last time I bought from Wiggle too.

Yeah I bought a dhb bib a while back off there but it was too short and couldn't get it over my shoulders so since then have given up and just been looking for trousers. It is one make I haven't tried in the trousers so maybe I'll give them a go. What's the quality like?

Have you looked at the Altura or Endura range?

I have a pair of the Altura Night Vision bib tights and they are well padded. I use Endura clothing to which is very good quality but haven't tried their bib tights.

I've just ordered a pair of Endura and they are too small and too short! It seems to be either the pad is so big I look like I'm wearing a nappy or they don't fit elsewhere  It's just a hassle buying online and having to send back too

Where in Surrey are you? Sigma in Kingston have lots of clothing, not cheap but should be good well fitting brands. Also gb cycles in Croydon and Evans in Wimbledon

I'm in the Guildford area so Kingston would be my best bet I reckon. Hhmm maybe I should go there then instead of buying stuff online all the time.

Thank you, might take a look at how far away the other stores are actually, although Croydon can be a bit tricky to get to.

Sigma have two good shops in Kingston, their super posh store on the other side of the bridge near Hampton wick and then the specialized store nit too far from the station. There is also an Evans nearby. Buying online is a pain. Wimbledon easy to do on same day

Oh ok. Which is the best store in Kingston to go to do you think? I'd rather go somewhere that has the most choice for tights etc

Buying online is a pain isn't it, things never come out how they say they are online. I tried a pair of Odlo ones, they fit perfect and the pad was discreet but the knees had some weird material different from the rest of the tight which was all baggy. The fitting has just got worse and worse the more I've tried!

You're getting late in the season for tights. What's the budget? Sigma is posh brands, specialized sigma is spesh, Altura, gore. Being slim, the posh brands will be more suited to you but probs £80 upwards

Yeah I had a feeling that's partly why I can't find anything but being so cold I'd rather have some full length ones or 3/4 length ones. That's interesting to know though as I've not tried any of those makes. Sorry, which did you say is the best Sigma to go to?

The posh one near Hampton wick, other side of Kingston bridge. Website is sigmasport. Another thought, you can buy online from Evans who have a huge selection, you can return in store. I think there's one somewhere in Guildford
