I have a 26 mile rural round trip commute. I ride a Surly Crosscheck and have done 8,000 miles in 2 years. I have the following tryes fo different conditions ...
Continental Ultra Gatorkins - I use these in the dry(ish) summer months, they are the lightest of my tryes and give me the quickest commute time.
Schwalbe Marathon Plus - Great tyres which I use in late Autumn and early Spring. I don't want unplanned defaltions in the dark, cold, wet weather.
Schwalbe Marathon Winters - Fantastic tyres for icy and snowy conditions, I used these every day from Chritsmas to Easter.
I am worried about the Gatorskins as I have several cuts in the tyres from grit and glass shards, some of these cuts are an inch or more long and I have had grit penetrate the tyre and liberate the air in wet weather.
What tyres should I get to replace the Gatorskins? I want lightweight, some puncture resistance and easy rolling resistance.
Thanks
