Anyone else having this?

Longest period of rain in the 20 years I have been living in Cumbria - pretty depressing.

Started October 27.

Had maybe 8-9 rain free days in November.

Have had 2 rain free days so far this month. And most days that it has rained it has been relentless.

Absolutely chucking it down as I type and we had a hell of a load overnight.

Grrrrrrrrrr....

Currently raining in Croydon.

Being from the Lancastrian Pennines I remember those days of neverending rain. It's one of the things I've noticed down south, it's quite unusual to have a day here where it doesn't stop raining whereas in Nelson you could easily go 2 - 3 days without it actually stopping.

Yesterday was a fine day and we had a great ride round Colne and Earby way, up the Bleara road climb. But later at home I went into the attic and discovered that everything up there is damp, probably a combination of damp from cooking and showering finding its way up and failing to dry thanks to the damp atmospheric conditions. Am thinking about hiring a dehumidifier until the weather improves.

Nature seems to be stockpiling, I went through late summer and autumn bone dry now all those wet interludes I escaped then have been bolted together and added to the usual winter wetness.

It's only weather but at least it's running down the hill past my house and not through it

I was up in the lake district at the weekend It rained most of the day Saturday . I could see some of the damage the Rain/water has done
I do pity the problems the residence having been having regarding the floods.
When is it going to stop !!

Same here, but for "8-9 rain free days in November", make that 8-9 rain free days in 2015. Thoroughly depressing actually. Please let 2016 be more like "normal", even though normal isn't great in these parts. I don't hold out much hope, it's the shape of things to come. Emigration is the only answer!

.... and the place with the highest annual rainfall in the British isles is the Lake District.
What did you expect when you moved there ? You pay for those wonderful lakes and green mountains,
Dahn Saurf, we have had several rainy days since October, but not enough to get my rain gage into double figures (mm per 24 hrs)

We've not had loads of rain in Leicester, but recently there seems to be more wet days than not. Riding to work this morning I noticed the roads were dry for the first time since I don't know when, but I have a memory like a sieve so that doesn't prove anything.
