Some CC members know I've been looking for a Principia for about 3 1/2 years, having thought I'd bought one back in early 2012.

Well this evening I collected most of one; it's a Principia TT2 light frameset with new TT bars, shifters, saddle, etc. There's new 9-speed Tiagra/Sora components plus all the parts needed to build a bike including chain/cables all of which are new. Then just add wheels.

It looks like this (minus wheels/pedals):

Plans?

Well I either work very fast and get it built for Sunday's 50TT or leave it as a winter project. It's almost certainly the latter as I've only an odd hour available.

I need wheels, preferably a disc rear, and am wondering whether I move it to 10 speed before fully doing the build. The crankset's 52/39 and I might fit a 10-speed 53/39 plus 10-speed rear. I'd need to source 10 speed bar end shifters.

Oh, and I'd like to sort the decals out as well.

Nice! I love my Principia. Is that a hand built frame?

I finally got out to road-test the Principia today. Bar tape needed to finish off along with re-doing decals at some point. Current weight is 8.3kg which, given the carbon wheels, I'm happy with.

This is how it looks now:

It's had:

Different bars plus flat extensions
Different saddle (my youngest took it for his Argon)
9 speed basic shifters to 10 speed Dura Ace
Change from 9 speed Tiagra/Sora to 10 speed Ultegra/105
ADR carbon front (60) and rear (100) wheels
Swissstop yellow pads to match the frame decals
Cables properly fitted
