Hi

Looking for some advice on buying my next bike.

After a hybrid with a £500 budget.

So far impressed by the spec of the Pinnacle Cobalt 3/4

But also liking the look of the Trek 8.3DS

Any advice other other buying options gratefully received.

I'll be doing a mixture of road and off-road cycling.

Many thanks :notworthy:

I have a 13 intutative alpha and love it £430( see avatar) .available from halfords the beta is better spec at £499. I had mine since Sept done 2500 miles no major issues . Just come back from Cornwall were I abused it off road on some old quarry working and it handled it fine . You need to decide if your off road warrants front suspension otherwise you are carrying weight that's not required just depends on what you mean my off road . canal tow paths etc would not require suspension rougher stuff suspension comes into play .Good look with the hunting sometimes the more you know the harder it is to choose .I think you just know when you find the right one its a personal thing.

There are 3 hybrids in the Boardman range for under £500, and they are on promotion with another 15% off until Sunday - which brings the well specced MX Comp with hydraulic disc brakes down from £599 to £510...

I've got the MX Sport and I think it's an awesome bike for the money. Capable of 30+ mph on the road and has coped with everything I've thrown at it off road. :becool:

Top tips! I've been looking for a hybrid for mainly road work, I have a Marin mountain bike, bit too heavy for roads and I can't lift it! Thought of the Raleigh Pioneer?
