What's the spec of the bikes? I would say the Cannondales will have as good or better frames and higher end components for the cash...and you'll see far fewer on the road ;)

Allez and CAAD more race geometry, secteur and synapse more relaxed - depends what you want

I'd choose the Synapse FWIW

Got my specialised dolce on the C2W but my firm are only signed with Evans ( don't laugh) . It's really worth it but I have paid to get mine properly fitted elsewhere which I would recommend. See if the shop your firm is signed to for the scheme does fitting and they may recommend one over the other for your dimensions and fit.

i do like the synapse and didn't want something with too much of an aggressive riding position as this is my first road bike in 20 years i do prefer the shifters on the specialized however your right in not seeing as many cannondales on the road and they have very good reviews for the frames.

also available in orange
FWIW, Cannondale's geometry range is (from least to most agressive) Synapse, CAAD8 then the CAAD10. TBH, any of the bikes you mentioned have great reputations, go and have a try of them and see what you think.

How are the shifters different? Don't both bikes come with Shimano STIs of some description?
the cannondales are shimano 2300's which seem to be thumb operated on the inside of the brake hood and the specialized are shimano 2400 claris sti's behind the brake levers.

The Secteur is a very good bike, I have had one for 2 1/2 years now. You can get more for your cash choosing other models, but the warranty will not be as good. I am saving money that I have saved from not smoking and I think I am going to go for a Roubaix. Great bikes and a lifetime warranty on the frame, which means a lot to me with a first carbon bike. Probably not as much of an issue with an aluminum framed bike, but still good to have. Cannondale also offer the same do I believe. So maybe not such a bad thing looking at these 2 brands as opposed to other brands that offer more spec wise, but limited frame warranty.
