I have just checked my first logged ride on Strava.Average 7.5mph and ride distance of 4.8 miles.I remember stopping half way for a fifteen minute breather too.It is very funny looking back but i would imagine we all have similar stories such as this haven't we?

HI & :welcome:
Enjoy the new bike. It's a bit like hard work at first but stick with it and you'll soon be riding miles and getting fitter daily.
I used to use the map my ride app on my phone, it would tell me where I'd been and how long for. Endomondo is another good one. I went mad and bought a Garmin Edge Touring earlier this year but then I got a new bike to go with it. Love the Garmin & the new bike and now ride even more.

Well done,it's nice to see youngsters buying bikes :bicycle: I'm 76 now,and two yrs ago I sold my trek 1.2 ,cos it wasn't getting enough use,and bought 2 Giant e-bikes which my wife and I carry on back of our motorhome.I've enjoyed riding an e-bike (mostly switched off) but now that we've moved from S.Wales valleys to flat N.Somerset I've now bought a No Logo fixie and am loving it :wahhey:

That would make a good thread.

Just a single post each with no replies.

Age/distance/mph/how you felt.

My first "come back" ride was on a £99 full suspension BSO. I did about 4 miles and pushed up a hill I now cruise up

Reminds me of a ride I had. I'd not long bought my mountain bike and I was riding along a gravelly trail somewhere above Bacup (if I remember correctly). I see some runners in the distance "soon catch them up" thinks I.
I did catch them and passed them.......and then the trail went up the hill.
I was soon in my very lowest gear, legs and lungs screaming, when the runners come past and say cheerily, "need to change up to a higher gear mate"!
I wouldn't mind but it wasn't really that steep, it was just my legs were pathetic and weedy!

I know the feeling. My father wanted to borrow a bike at xmas. I rode my sons full suspension cheapy down there. 2 miles took 25 mins & I was dead. Now I do or in have that without effort & wonder what the fuss was
