I've whittled my choice down to 2 bikes. Canyon ultimate cf sl 9.0 in silver or Cannondale synapse ultegra disk.I would compare this in car terms as canyon(golf gti) versus cannondale ( focus rs ).Ultimately though the choice is mine, and a nice choice it is too

I would grade those two bikes more like Cannondale Synapse (VW Golf - not a GTi) & Canyon (BMW 3 Series
M-Sport).

The Canyon being more 'Race' than the Synapse, more 'Endurance', not slow, just more relaxed.

And that is why I've decided on the canyon. I can't have a test ride but I'm pretty sure I'll get on with it, I mean who wouldn't want a go in an m3
