New bike.

Hi,

Looking for a bike that will hold my weight (currently just under 18 stone) Don't wan to pay mega money as I am only just getting back into bikes after a 20 odd year absence. Still loosing weight but want something sturdy that will last me a while.

Any ideas guys fire away.

mainly going to use it on road with a little of road. Budget between 150 and 300

I was looking for a new bike recently to replace an old unused for some time Mountain Bike (MTB). Some people advised me not to go for a hybrid, but to choose a road bike or MTB, based on what I'd use it mostly for. I ended up buying a single speed road bike in the end, but really you need at least two bikes!

Well I went to a local bike shop today and ended up guying a dawes explorer 101 with a 19 frame. They are changing the saddle for a better one FOC and i pick it up thursday.
