If this is something to do with scottish authors, then yes many scots are on here and may have read it, but they won't be awake at this time of night due to lack of moral fibre and / or drunkeness.

Now, at least I can say I have heard of Christopher Brookmyre.

I'm about halfway through it. Very good it is too. He's brought back Simon Darcourt (last seen trying to blow up the Dubh Ardrain Hydro) and expanded his serial killer attributes, sort of Dexter on Steroids. Lots of piss being taken out of fame-junkies, shock-journalists and the like. Very funny.

AFG is still my favourite of his book, but this one looks like being close. Definitely recommended.
