My journey to work is 32 miles

I thought that I'd try driving the first part and cycle the rest. Theres a good (flat mostly) coastal cycle path from Prestatyn to Colwyn Bay. (Near as dammit 15 miles).

Well the sun was shining this morning and all my excuses had gone, gave it a go.

Gotta say I'm buzzin!!! What a great start to the day!

Planing on trying for 2-3 days a week to start with (in line with the weather!!!) and see how it goes.

Well done - I'm a regular visitor to Prestatyn and the route is really good.

Keep up the good work. I'm somewhat jealous of the cycle paths you have over in the NE, but then if I go much past Colwyn Bay I get lost .

On my way home tonight I discovered the downside to coastal cycle paths.

Wind. More accurately a stiff breeze following the tide in.

Still. Its just resistance training is'nt it????

Don't let a wee bit of wind put you off, just keep at it!! In theory it get easier, but in reality you work just as hard but you go faster...
