(New design) Quick Release pedals for the Speedplay mount

Hey guys,
Ive been working on this design for a few months and just finished it, and milled in Titanium for testing. So far so good and very convenient and sturdy!

Is there any need for this for people, just curious what you think?
- Triathlon people are saying its nice to have a skinnier bike, grabbing it from the racks, so it doesn't get caught up on others when transitioning from swim>bike and bike>run
- or traveling and storage needs which was my purpose

I spent some time designing the part and testing it in aluminum before finishing last week and cutting from Titanium. The result is very satisfying. Nice click in and out, no play and retains same 53mm Q factor. Weight is only 10g more, but I can bring that down with some design changes.

Not sure if a Wahoo Speedplay quick release has been done before, so Ill post here and see if anyone is interested in these Titanium axles too. I can make it for SPD-SL also, but only need the Speedplay on my bikes here at the moment.

Let me know if anyone is interested, and maybe I can make a bigger run next time

Here is a video below of the click-in and also can make the axle in any length now. It seems like 53mm (standard size) is good for road but 59mm is preferred for gravel/MTB.

How does a person know the exact MM length for their body? Its such a small difference but makes a big change after riding for 6-8 hours a day

Hey guys -- If you know any friends who might be interested in demo’ing the free Speedplay kit I developed. Let me know! You can forward them this link I put together with pics and video of how it works. Im doing it for free for now to get the word out, if ppl want to try it. An easy way to go from flat pedals(commuter) to clipless (road/exercise) and keep the bike skinny with no pedals sticking out https://switchboxcontrol.com/speedplay
