hmm, nice and logical 
me and ilovebikes came across this yesterday whilst on our ride.
We cycled through Cutty Sark Gardens in Greenwich and suddenly noticed a ton of crushed glass everywhere. Ferkin nightmare... took 10 minutes to clean our tyres.
What a brain dead, completely, insane, stupid idea.... for cyclists... and for people walking their poor dogs...

If the compound is 60% salt and 40% glass it will no doubt be cheaper. There was probably some geezer selling it saying 'honest guv this is good stuff, 100% pure"!!
Or of course, the well known melting properties of glass, Have you ever seen ice on a windscreen, or snow up against a window!!

I do hope that everybody whose property was damaged by this daft idea makes a claim against the local council, as that is the only way they'll learn the error of their ways.
