Looking to buy a new helmet as mine seems a little worse for wear lately.

Im after a smaller looking/feeling helmet, not like one of those big clumpy things that hands miles over the front/rear/and each side of your head.

I know it knd of defeats the object of wearing one, but from experience they suit me much better.

Do any of you have any opinions on smaller helmets, that dont break the bank (in the context i explained above)?

Any help much appreciated,

Thanks

I have one of these, Met Crackerjack. Like you I don't like larger style helmets which sit right over the head. (like the Giro Indicator, which I also have) The Met sits higher on the head whilst at the same time feeling very secure. The visor is also easily removeable.

Thanks for the comments.

I really like the look of the Rudy project helmets, the RP Zuma looks quite nice TBH.

Does anyone have one or know of anyone with one?

At the moment the helmet i wear hangs over the front/sides/and back of my head (i know doing its job by being there). But its just not comfy and to my liking having it in my view when im riding.

Im literally after one that sits on top of my head and is there to keep people happy.

Hopefully someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks all

Tried a Giro Monza?.

Just bought a new Monza and its a very nice fit, seems to sit on top of yer bonce rather than around the sides or at least it does on my head.

Try one on to get a good fit though - I'm usually a 59" or large in skid lids, but I ended up going for a medium in the Monza and it fits perfectly.

Very popular lids. Most of the "new" cyclists at work who have bought bikes on the Cyclescheme this year, are all sporting Giro Monza's for some reason. ;)

I wouldn't really worry about what they look like, just go for the best fitting coolest lid you can find. Giro atmos ticks them boxes for me

Specialised Propero - stylish and good fit.

I'll second that. I find mine is a great fit and very well ventilated.
