New job cycle facility review

My first day at my new job today, London bridge so cool, nice route already used via the A11

Secure locking at the back where they've built a bloody great wall with a very big door and my shiny key for it suggests a very secure lock

And on the fourth floor of a very old, listed and rather threadbare building, what can only be described as a whore's boudoir of a shower room, expensive, small and deep red tiles on floor and walls, a posh sink with oversized and flashy yet tasteful chrome pipework, a nice toilet and a posh shower

Minor points loss for nowhere to store towel and kit but what the hell

yay

shame about the interest free seasn ticket loan I suppose

Public Transport today, not wanting first impression to be me being sweaty in lycra, got in fine, thought the trans/tube an;t so bad after all

hell on earth on the way back, no trains out of Liverpool Street with resultant mobs, I rerouted on a Central Line plus bus plan B, person on the line at Bethnal Green and a long wait for a bus in the rain

yep, it's no more than 100yards from my last shortlived job, so my new exciting and lights light (relatively) route will serve, a bit so so through Letyonstone but then a long stright cruise along the A11

and four weeks of into college in the dark and cold have me once again reasonably fit

fingers crossed for my three month probation period

That's a bit old school calling it the A11.Perhaps I may see you along it sometime.

I know years ago the A11 went all the way to Epping and beyond and they renumbered it (B1393?) after the M11 was built.IMHO.

All i get is full use of the entire top floor of the building (not rented out to another company and no locks on the door )

expect me to be joining at Stratford at ooo about 8.20, one the first times I did the route I fell in with a chap on a white racer of some kind, we had an exellent gas while tearing along, but I was early that day and I think he was late, never saw him again thereafter

Yeah I think the bit from god knows where to Aldgate is A11 but I know they did chop it up after the M11 was operational.Christ I even remember when they were building the M11.

nice ride in barring no end of red lights, saw a few other serious riders, who all lost me by blasting through red lights, one even thought a junction with crossing traffic, suspect he's watched too many of those courier vids

sadly, as lovely as the shower room was, the water was no more than nearly luke warm and the shower head shockingly scaled

Yeah I do that.I only felt vulnerable when I had a p*nct*re near the Olympic Crap Building Site 2012.

'Whore's boudoir' that's awesome. Reminds me of our Birmingham office where there's two shower rooms, one suitable for wheelchair users - it's just a huge wet room with a massive mirror covering the whole wall opposite the shower. I swear to god it's like something of a porno set!
