Looks like for the first time (well as far as I'm aware), we're going to get a bike shop in the local high street in Billericay. Looks to be relatively high end selling Trek Felt Moda and Kuota, doing bike fittings etc. Hoping they are in it for the long run and not just jumping on the current wave of interest. The name of "Yellow Jersey Cycles" doesn't necessarily suggest years of in-depth cycling knowledge. The jury will be out for the time being but it's a welcome change as I especially don't need another hairdressers.

Oh as a Billierician, i'm amazed i hear it on here first. Weird.
Where did you hear this and where on the high is it going to be?
Most importantly will it have a tea and cake shop?

lol, we certainly don't need hair dressers, charity shops or estate agents, so this will be a nice change.
Hope it works out for them.
Looking at where it's going to be, it's right on the high street, i hope they have somewhere to park bikes around the back.
Still it's going to be handy to pop into when i need bits.
Unfortunately if i start considering N+1 the wife might divorce me, but i can dream

No cakes as far as I am aware. Ideally I need to earn my cake by riding, five minutes to the high street may not cut it! Seriously though, they are on twitter and had some pics on there "@yellowjerseyGB" of the shop taking shape. Looks like they are opening on Saturday, other cake shops are available if anyone wants to meet up for a nose about. My wife will kill me as well, if I buy another bike at the moment

Cool managed to find the facebook and twitter feeds.
For some reason i can already feel my wife's disapproving look just for the shop existing at all ^_^
I'll defo head over for the opening, might leave the credit card behind though, too dangerous.

Popped in today to say hi, I left credit card at home too but that was probably more to do with the fact it was on the bike. Seemed a nice guy, had some interesting demonstrators, I don't dare look at anything with Di2 though. From what he said it did seem that people with more than one bike with slightly disapproving wives was a bit of a theme of visitors.
