New member in Stockport/Manchester

Hi all
I thought I'd make my first post and introduce myself.
The name's Neil, been riding a bike on the roads since 2009.
Got a Scott Sportster hybrid and you'll see me on weekdays dodging taxis and other nutters on the A6 between Manchester and Stockport.

Its OK going through Heaton Chapel as it's pretty wide.
It can be a bit scary going through Levenshulme, narrow lane width, parked cars.
Longsight has some interesting drivers,

I've "bandit run" the A6 once before, makes my A56 run feel relatively safe.

Hello John. The only long distance ride I've done is the Trans-Pennine trail, most of the other miles I've clocked up doing my regular commute. The bike's a bit heavy for an audax and the bars too straight, but I am getting tempted to get an audax/road bike for faster commuting and a long ride.
