The guy I work for on the holidays has moved office...looking on the map it seems a lot nicer commute now (shorter too ).

I can either go on what I think are reasonably main roads, which is the shortest way. I don't think the roads would be that bad with a decent road position - they're quite wide from memory. This will probably be the way there (when running out of time )

Or I can go down, mainly quiet country lanes. The route would be a bit different - Google maps is being difficult and I'm fed up adjusting the route. Slightly longer than the other way, but depending on which lanes I take it could be shorter than my previous commute to his old office. Come this way back when time isn't a problem.

Have to wait until I'm home and go out on a ride both ways to see what they're like. Not a bad route for the month I'm home and then the summer holidays after I've done my exams. looks about 1000x nicer than the pathetic commute (3.5 miles) to on Saturday job I've got at UNI .

Get as old as me pal and 3.5 miles is not a pathetic commute.

It only takes 15 minutes (which is 30minutes quicker than the bus B)). Double that would be nice. Actually cycling to the new office (like the old one) is about an hours ride which can bit a bit of a bugger....no lie ins B)

It is a bugger for the lie ins.During the snow, second day I stayed at work and I felt great after four hours sleep as opposed to the cycle in through the snow.

I am really enjoying my new route, its basically Mobberley in Cheshire via the roads that are useless to cars due to being too slow and dont really go anywhere apart from the houses, of which there arent many, I see few cars, the only bad bit is a half mile rat run between mobberley and the airport, a straight country road that the cars hammer along, turning right required a lot of planning, its worth it for the next bit which is a farm track to a largely unusued road, it adds a mile and a half on but thats a good thing.

Finding roads round the airport that arent full of peanuts is a blessing, case in point being the tunnels, lovely cyclepath through them to avoid the retarded United players bouncing off the walls inside the main carriageway.

I am doing 15 miles a day now, would be quite happy to bung another five or ten on some days , its just finding a nice route.
