New PC... W7 won't install USB3 drivers :(

definitely the admin as there's only one account and it's the admin account

the usb3 sockets do seem to be working now, but the 'unknown devices' are annoying me...

... with the yellow hazard triangle. I'd have figured they'd disappear now the drivers are installed, but the one marked 'unknown device' has just moved to the USB bit of a the tree (it was in 'other devices' with the USB controller).

all of my previous PC have shown similar and I've just ignored it, but would be nice to know what they are and why they're not recognised, how to rectify or remove them... being a wannabe geek and all that .

Right click the one thats highlighted and click properties.
It should give you a details tab with dropdown menu.
Look at hardware id and right click copy it and do a google search for it.
It should give you a clue as to what it is.
Looks something like this
