Yes, they are good for warming up, cooling down, keeping your legs moving between events, recovery rides, even some aerobic rides, but once you start upping the intensity to tempo or above you will struggle to get the required resistance IME. Of course, if you are less strong, then they will offer you more relevant resistance but as you get stronger, you will outgrow them.
I find 53x12 at 33mph (according to my cateye) for 40 minutes is really a good workout, especially with the occasional sprint to 45mph thrown in. Different to resistance training though, I tend to save that for the road.

@RAYMOND - OK, I'll take them. Is collection Sat pm possible?
I work 2 till 8.30, home at 9 in the evenings.
But there no rush i'll keep them for you as long as you like.
And you can change your mind if you like.
I'm off Friday the 14th for 6 days too.

I have one that I have only used once, £30 collected from Harrogate (sorry to butt in or hijack just thought it was relevant and better than starting a new thread)
