I'm so pleased with it now its finished. Kinesis TK2 with 105 and aksium. I was going to go for the Easton EA90 Aeros but read that the quick release is integrated in some odd way to tension the bearings, and it seemed like too much faff for a winter ride.
I got the lad to put on red bar tape (with gel inserts on the bars themselves to ease my hands, LOL, sometimes you just dont feel like using gel gloves), however I reckon with some sweat and UV they'll settle down to a shade of pink. And why is it with bar tape they NEVER supply enough. Apparently he struggled to get the tape to fit.
Mudguards and rack too as thats what is needed for the commute. Gone a little lower on the drops with this one, only one spacer but it feels more comfortable oddly, I think because I have a slightly shorter stem this time.
Anyone know where to get some really good reflector sets. I want some for the wheels that fit right and dont interfere with the steering, spoke tension etc...

Oh and riding my Father's bike for 2 weeks has made drops feel all funny. :-0
