That is the other option, to dig out my alligators and see if I can manage with them in this cold snap.

These are described as warm moon boots, and the tops are adjustable. I am guessing that the Derry boots, which I have just looked up, are more practical.

I had a pair of these and they were CRAP I have now treated myself to a pair of Peakland neoprene lined wellies and I would recommend they to anyone. Feet are like toast just with ordinary socks. Get some of these Speicher you won't regret it.
