It appear many subscribers to this messaging service have been sent a fake message saying their subscription has expired and directing them to a site where they are promised a lifetime sub for .99p.
A bid to obtain payment details.

Been getting similar and I don't use it.

I run numerous, service specific, email addresses and it's quite amazing the number of emails about invoices, orders or subscription payments that come through on the 'wrong' address.

It's basically the first of several lines of defence against these scammers.
