Newbie - no style, even less substance

Hello! I was instructed to introduce myself, so here I am, doing just that.

Originally from Suffolk where I used to cycle everywhere on a £150 mountain bike that my mum bought me. Lived in London for ten years now and have wanted a bike for ages, but haven't really had anywhere to keep one until now. In fact, I still don't really, but hey ho, bought one anyway.

Did my first ride today (never ridden in Central London before so that was an experience...). Five miles, some frayed nerves and a very sore arse later I am now safely on the sofa waiting for this 'storm' to appear...

I've got a 2014 Croix de Fer. A friend recommended it based on my budget and what I will be using it for - it is a beauty! Things have come on a lot in the 15 years since I've ridden a bike!

It was fitted for me so I think it's OK. I think the main problem is that I haven't sat on a bike for about fifteen years and the saddle is a pretty small one!
