Boondoggle. What type of cycling are you getting into? Any ambitions to do anything competetive with cycling? What bike do you ride?

Hi, I just moved from a MTB to a hybrid, nothing expensive due to circumstances. No competitive ambitions as yet, but I'm considering joining a local cycling club as a way of meeting folk with common interests. So far I've just escaped into the countryside solo, but the more I read on the forum the more I'm thinking about sharing the fun. I'm full time carer for my mother so my social calender has taken a huge hit over the last few years. Some great country routes here that I usually enjoy each year, but the weather hasn't been on my side.

I think a cool wind and a bit of rain is refreshing. A 35 mph head wind... not so much.
