far more noticeably the change from riding in the middle of town to going through the countryside, stopping and saying hi to people, squirrels, rain, sun, travelling in the snow feeling far more in control and having a lot more fun, feeling awake enough when I get to work not to immediately pour myself a coffee, not having to go to the Gym *ever*, I like riding a bike, I hate driving a car, me time, and on and on

Cycling home in a downpour (surely not!) and it being the most refreshing thing ever!

Cycling early in the morning and it being deserted except for wildlife.

Wildlife (and not the Ned/ Chav kind ;)). I forget which days it was the young urban fox on the usually busy Parkway; the young deer on the quiet Bullock Road, the dashing March Hare and the birds of prey. I enjoy my commutes heading out of the city to the quiet country lanes unfortunately I have to loop back into town or I'd never get to work

Had a Tom Turkey hanging around work last year, until some fellows from buildings and grounds trapped him, and hauled him back to the countryside. About 30 pounds, on the American Scale. Some oyster stuffing would round that up, if he comes back.
