So is "NO CYCLING" not painted across it by the pier any more?

I used to enjoy pootling along WsM's prom in summer. Take it gentle (it was often too hot for me to want to do much else) and stick to the mini-train's typical line (used to be marked tracks but they weren't repainted after a repaving) and it wasn't a problem.

It used to be painted No Cycling but about 3 years ago they remodeled that area and there was no more restriction after that.... this year the second and final phase is being completed.

There used to be barriers to prevent cyclists crossing the suspended bridge at the end of Beaulieu road but surprisingly the council removed the barriers. ...IMHO I sense a different attitude towards cyclists.

lost somewhere
The Meon Valley, somewhere near Petersfield. Winchester is awash with City money, and it shows.

Replying literally to the title of this thread I would suggest Fort William.

Not particularly nice, but if you want weather there's plenty of it and there are loads of shops selling outdoor stuff.

Not disbelieving you but how do you work out the stadium is on of the highest in Scotland.

Very easy. Just measure the height above sea level.

Hannah Park - the home of Shotts Bon Accord, is 232m, or 761ft, above sea level making it one of the highest grounds. Another fact about Hannah Park is that it uses the maximum dimensions allowed for a football pitch (120m x 90m).

I thought so too, but they are based on 30 year averages! It is very interesting to look at the data HERE.
Funny how such an average can come up with such a figure so far out as what I would consider average for any given month. Nice info though.
