I'm aiming to get to bed early tonight as I'm out the door at 06:30 to catch a train to Lancaster. Saturday and Sunday spent riding The Way of the Roses.

I'm just slobbing in front of the TV with a load of magnums.

For me, it's even rarer, a complete weekend of no cycling!!!

I'm changing nappies and cooking dinner in a desperate attempt to get a pass for the Brighton ride in a couple of weeks

I was hoping to finish building a bike but the chain hasn't arrived.

On a train to harwich! So the next 1 hour and 30 minutes will be spent fretting about the bikes falling out the doors at each station, seeing as there's no bike section on here despite it being the one arena recommend using to get to the ferry....

Driving my lorry all night as usual, dodging rabbits satellites and getting stared at by foxes. Hoping to get out on the bike after work for an early morning ride.

So we have an unaccustomed Friday off riding to the seaside for breakfast. What are you doing to fill the time?
I'm going to The Oval to watch WI take on England at 20:20. Obviously I will be wearing my crash helmet in case of falling space debris.

Windies 125? Luckily you were wearing your helmet in defence of a falling run-rate Adrian. Don't leave your personal effects out if it rains...you're bound to get your keys wetter and you will not be able to wick it dry. How's that?

England is taking on the Women's Institute? Should be a close match.

I did my very own special little Friday Night Ride To The Coast. I hope you're proud of me. I rode my bike to the sea at a little village in France, put the wheels in and took a picture of it. Then I rode to St Malo and put up my tent. On the Saturday morning I took the ferry from St Malo to Portsmouth, and had a massive Fat Boy's Breakfast on board. I admit that going all the way to the Med at Narbonne Port and then riding all the way back across France is a bit of a palaver But I do think we have a responsibility to continue Dell's legacy. Especially while he is skiving at Heathrow. Some pix are here:
