Just remembered, that's what I told my wife, before I rode to work on Thursday last week.

By the time I got to work, I was soaked, it was time to ring my socks out! Quite a nice ride in though, roads were pretty dead .

Still glad I left the bins though, horrible job that when its raining!

Oh dear..I still do that...good overshoes mate and a couple of layers of cut down plastic bags keep the shoes dry......

Not nice to get really wet - don't mind it if weather is warm, but if it's cold and/or windy... Wet feet are the worst for me. xx( One day I will invest in some overshoes.

I was glad not to be cycling this wekend - and fortunately, the worst of the rain seems to have gone by this morning's commute. A very nice surprise to arrive at work dry! ;)

I quite like it, I enjoy the shower all the more, plus you get double "Hard Bastard Points" from colleagues who consider not having a 2 tonne metal shell to avoid being hit by water droplets as madness.

You get wet, you dry out, thats how it works.

LOL, I helped out at a food point for the Brian Chapman Memorial ride on Sat night. Some of those poor guys were freezing cold and sopping wet when they arrived. Unfortunately we didn't have any plastic bags left so one of the guys had the bread bags to put on his feet xx(.

I cycle to work in all weathers and then spend the day emptying other people’s bins! 5 miles on the bicycle 10 to 15 miles a day running jogging walking, some times dripping wet sometimes red hot. Does this make me rock hard or just an idiot? I must admit I love being outside whatever the weather in fact I've spent my life outside it's got to point I don't really notice the rain or cold but do have a hard time in the heat.

Hello Mr snapper ,

No not yours I work for Dudley council on the Green garden waste. I really enjoy it less money than I'm used to but very good hours I get to sleep in my own bed at night and know that I am going to get home each night unlike my last job (HGV driver!)
