Following a comment made on the tooth fairy thread from a very honest parent, I was wondering when other people stop the magic that is the belief in Santa??
Personally I only tried once to come clean.
When my eldest was about 10 he still believed, wholeheartedly, and I was worried he'd get bullied for his innocence. So I took him shopping and told him I needed him to help me with picking the presents because there wasn't really a santa who delivered them and actually I had to go out and get them.
He seemed to take it quite well.
Later he went off and had a chat with his dad and promptly came back and declared me a total liar and there was so a Santa and I just didn't want him to get any presents!!!
That was me told.
I never raised the subject again, he's almost 19 now and still believes.

This has just ruined my day.
