Noisy pedals

Hi gang,

Novice pedaller here, I recently installed some SPD 520s (I think) on my Flight 03 - but there seems to be a clicking coming from the right hand one...any advice?

The above will probably work, chances are the pedal needs tightening.

If it doesn't, does it click when you get out of the saddle and pedal? seatposts and saddles can click quite nicely at times.

Do you still have the ones you took off to install those? If so, swap back and see if the clicking continues. With clicks and ticks, step one should always be a process of elimination to make sure you've got the root cause of the problem.

Is it a clicking.. or more of a creaking?

and are you sure its from the pedal and not maybe the crank itself?

I ask as I get the occasional click (or repetative creak, that sounds like a click) Generally its a sign that my crank need more lube.
