Not a day for putting new tyres on...

Just putting a new tyre on the roadie, and I've managed to pop 3 tubes so far... I've put new tyres on countless times, with no probs, but today it just isn't a good tyre/tube-karma day.

you'd think an italian tyre (vittoria rubino slick) would fit perfectly onto an italian rim (campagnolo), but i ended up having to take it to the lbs after frustration of popping the tube too often.

the same tyre went on some shimano wheels much more easily, with no collateral damage…

I've got decent steel ones, and tightness wasn't a problem (oo'er), just cackhanded fitting by me, I guess.

Do you just need one of these? Do you need to use 'standard' tyre levers as well?

what it is very good for is easing the last tight bit onto the rim without doing any harm to the innertube or rim also works very well on new tyres that are a wee bit tight
