Not a phone call i ever wanted

Just been told that my Mum is in Hospital following a stroke . Her front door was kicked in to get to her .
All i know is shes talking but confused and going for scans .

That was my first and still my thoughts but i'm in London shes in York . I'd just be sat on the M25 for hours going crazy with worry . It's better i do that at home and wait for news i think . Actually i dont know what i think !

maybe by train would be best, driving whilst distracted may not be best for yourself or others

Could be worthwhile driving to Peterborough (1hr 1/2) and getting the train up to York (1hr) on the east coast mainline if you don't fancy the M25. Cost about £67 off peak return.

I am sorry to hear about your mum and hope she recovers. I know precisely how you feel as i had the same call in 2001 about my mum.
