i ordered a frame through my LBS on 22 october. The distributor sent them a M frame, in a M-Long box (i got sized up and all). It's a ti frame from the states you see. So we sent it back to uk distibutors. 2 weeks later they sent back the same frame! Now there are no more in europe and the builders have packed in till end of jan... Disgruntlement! What should I do/say if anything? It's not the LBS fault, and I have already ordered parts to fit the frame and all. Can I expect any compensation from the uk distributors? Anyway, I'm stll using my motored two wheeler for my 6 mile commute- and am just an nervous on ice - had a tumble at 60 from a dry freezing day with a single farm drain off. Anyways, I have only paid deposit for the bike and bits thus far, bought groupset on a sale elsewhere. Also, does anyone use a brooks in winter, is it worth getting now or try to wear one in in spring for me summer tour? its a ti sportive with brazens btw.

Looks like you will have to grin and bear it now that you have spent money on parts for it.I would try and get an email address for suppliers and pester them direct on the principle that they may hurry it along if you keep nagging. Also send a letter to the CEO of trhe suppliers, no company really wants disgruntled customers and the cock up is all theirs.

Good luck

Do as Banjo says.

Re Brooks, one of my bikes has it and I use it in winter

So long as you don't leave it outside in the rain, it's not going to get harmed. I have no quibble riding it in the rain as I'm sat on it and have full mudguards so it never sees water. Bike stored in garge overnight and covered shelter at work
