I had a couple of big bunches of keys that lived for years in a drawer. I knew that they were mine but didn't have the faintest idea what each of them did. They got chucked. I've never missed a single one of them.

I enjoy decluttering, so not many odd keys and locks here. Even the fact I have to keep boxes of old invoices etc. For years is something I do not like.

You only need keep financials for 7 years for hmrc. If you keep it for your own if warranty reasons thats a different matter.

I half filled a dustbin with water and tried to turn old invoices, bank statements, credit card stuff and all the rest of that useless historical bumf into papier mache. It was a total failure and smelled pretty rank after a month or two.
