Following a link from the London Recumbents website to what I assume is a german bike manufacturer, I saw the contraption below.

odd. very odd indeed. can't help thinking it's got the wrong number of tubes.

that second one looks like it's got a second bottom bracket shell that's not in use?

It's a measure, perhaps, of the way I got into cycling, and the people I know, that I very rarely find any bike 'odd looking' any more!

I gather the Pedersen is supremely comfortable to ride. I've only briefly had a go on one, having short legs, I've not seen one small enough for me, and I had to make sure I was riding the one I tried next to a nice high kerb...

Oh, that's positively normal looking!:smile:

(think of it with small wheels (and the BB raised to accommodate them), and it's the basic shape of most shoppers or folders.
