Odd Setups Spotted

On my commute yesterday, I saw a chap on a Halford's Trax TFS.1 Full Suspension mountain bike (RRP £79.99), with MTB shoes and SPD-SL road pedals and cleats.

Now each to their own, but this struck me as unusual. Anyone else spotted a weird set up like this?

At the moment i have taken the keo looks off of my roadie and put them on my MTB for the commute after my bike and i had an altercation with one of those plastic speed bumps. Needless to say the road bike didnt fair well so for the time being i'm on the MTB. As i hate not being clipped in and not having yet purchased spd's and shoes for the MTB i thought sod it and decided to use my road shoes and keo's.
