You see this viaduct? well I didn't and came too wide out of the corner into it.

Hats off to our very own Cunobelin who stopped to see if I was alright. Incidentally the finger I thought was dislocated as it was no longer aligned with the others actually has a spiral fracture to the metacarpal. I'm off to hand clinic at QA on Tuesday.

Gald it's not more serious and you're up and about, but failing to see a viaduct...now that's impressive

To be fair to the OP, I think what happened must have been that someone reported the viaduct to fillthathole, and the council came and bricked up the arches?

It's a "Stealth Viaduct" I have come off here (my excuse was ice)
You had me worried, - I had just past when I heard what sounded to be a very impressive crash behind, and saw the bike down, so came back... you were coherent, no obvious debilitating injury (you knew about your hand) so left you to your own devices.

Shame I haven't got a working rear camera or we could have posted it here (or charged large fees not to!!)

Glad you feel ok and hope you don't have to have the same procedure. Really.

Ouch! I know that viaduct well, you have the Victorians to blame for that one!

What you need for the future is a pair of these: http://www.sportsbik..._magma_blue.jpg

I have a pair, they're summer-weight motorbike gloves, I bought a pair for riding my motorbike but then found that they're excellent for cycling! Armour plated, breathable, cheap and they give drivers a surprise when you use the knuckles to knock on the window!

A friend of my mothers flew a light aircraft in to that viaduct some years ago. He hadn't failed to see it he apparently did it on purpose!

Glad you're not too badly injured. I wish you a speedy recovery.
