Off to Cambridge in January...

Don't worry, I'm not moving there, just going there for a course for a week. All expenses paid as well (it's not being paid for by the NHS, I should add!!).

So what's it like in January? Cold I believe?! Hopefully, I'll be able to wangle a few days where I can be tourist, so does anyone have any recommendations?

And, no. I won't be taking my bike! :biggrin:

Very cold, but close enough to Vermont for a weekend's skiing (I went to Stowe, very pretty). Loads of touristy stuff in Boston, Harvard, MIT etc are worth a visit. The "Duck Tour" was recommended to me but I never did it! Hiring a bike with big fat tyres and pootling round Boston, along the river etc would also fun if it's not snowing/icey!

Ah, due to a very dodgy knee skiing is not an option.

I've just looked up duck tour and see it is nothing to do with looking at ducks! Good, good! :smile:
