I'm such a sucker, everytime there's a brighter light I want it- even though I know a £10 Smart is as bright as I need.

You can never have a bright enough light, the DiNotte rear lights are the only lights on the market which illuminate the road behind the bike, there is no way that anyone can say they didn't see you, unless they are blind....

I was very close to getting one of those until I rode behind someone with one.

No idea whether they had mounted it incorrectly, it certainly was putting a lot of light downwards, but there was enough light coming up that I could barely see where I was going, how far away he was, etc. I really wouldn't want a car behind me to be similarly blinded.

Too much light can be a very bad thing.

In my experience driver give me a lot more room and I haven't had any negative comments yet. I use it in flashing mode during the day and have been told by drivers who passed me (we were on the same course, I commuted in by bike) that they thought the light was a good thing as it really brought attention to the bike.

I have ridden behind my wife, who uses my old DiNotte 140L, and not found it a problem...

Ps. I now use the DiNotte 400L rear light, which is visible at about 1 mile in full sun light...
