Old Dia Compe levers and Canties

I am digging out parts to rebuild my old Zaskar. Hoping someone has a better memory for older mtb parts than I have.

Do Dia Comp SS4 levers operate other canties ok? The brakes are an unbranded pair of solid billet and I think, an early pair of Shimano xt forged.

I have a few other questions re 80's 90's parts if anyone thinks they can help.

Thanks for the pointer again G. There are some great older bikes there and some people very into them. For completeness and if anyone elsr ever has a similar question, this is what I found out:-

Any Dia-Compe PC3, 5,7,7E,9,11 (Power and Control) should work with all canti's.

Dia-Compe DP whatever they are followed by are Direct Pull and for V-Brakes.
