My son has a few of these from over 2 years ago and ignored them as advised by hie mates and against my advice . Now we have have letter from Gladstone Solicitors saying they are now going to take him to court . Is this just another scare letter or is this now after a supreme court ruling from last year over PCN which a man lost his appeal over his PCN the start of a flood gate starting in which these companies are going to pursue old claims to get money they think they we be able to recover . Its £450 they are claiming . Anyone else in a similar position .
i am the name on the letters as he was driving my car at the time of the charges .

Maybe take your own legal advice? Or get your son to MTFU and pay by contacting the solicitors and organising payment

Or Pepipoo always used to be the go to for traffic 'offence' advice

Pepipoo...so many variables about legality of tickets. Or ring and negotiate "full and final settlement"

You don't have to state who was driving the car; I've done this and the PCN was cancelled.

It's about their actual 'loss of earnings' so I sent a postal order for the £2.80 parking charge.

Personally I'd call their bluff and wait for a summons. 999 out of a thousand times it never comes, because they lose far more than they win, so they're very, very coy about pursuing them.

Depending on exactly what they've written, how its written or what the letter looks like, there may be offences or a tort if they're claiming to be a solicitors practice but are not.
