If you suddenly slipped forward on the saddle I think it would defintely make your eyes water given what appears to be an inch or two drop onto a hard surface.:smile:

That saddle looks really ugly and it weighs far too much, but I think the idea is interesting.

I always thought that a cutout saddle is a compromise because ideally you wouldn't want anything contacting your delicate bits at all, but you still want a nose on the saddle to stop the bike moving about too much beneath you.

I agree. I think something like this might work well. I often wonder how many people are riding in discomfort because they don't want to use 'ugly' componants.

I've actually just had a thought pop into my head and I really don't know why, possibly reading the 'girls in lycra' thread, that there is one occasion on which the saddle might be useful - nude cycling.
The front would give a gentleman somewhere to rest his 'assets'

So who's gonna try it first?
