...breaks the 2 second rule.......

It was like pea soup it in the countryside surrounding ComedyPilot towers this morning, and I thought to myself some idiots will be crashing and blaming the fog.

I just didn't think it would be about 130 of them in one crash?

I was thinking the same as I was driving my lorry on the M25 back to the sorting office at 6 a.m this morning. The fog had been getting thicker since 4 a.m. Drivers were still sitting on the arse of the car in front. I wasn't surprised when I woke up at 2 p.m and put the news on to see there had been a 100 vehicle pile up.

how it works, is that if everyone is driving slightly closer than they should, perhaps individually a "just about OK" distance, is the first car brakes hard, 2nd care a bit harder, then car 7 (say) doesn't quite make it. Everyone after #7 then goes up the arse of the car in front until there's a sizeable gap. Doesn't excuse daft driving though.

Dilemma in fog, is if you slow down, you get slammed into by twits behind you, but if you go a bit quicker, you are that twit !

You are all nutters in the UK! You drive much too fast, and much too aggressive! And you don't have the skills to back it up!

I come to England once a year and it takes me about a week to get used to the hair-raisng speeds you career around at. It's probably because you have the best road-planning on the planet that you aren't all breathing out of tubes. Best road-planning for motorists that is.

You don't need fog for rear end shunts. I had a gormless motorist run into the back of me in prefect visibility on Tuesday evening. On her own admission she was looking to the right as she drove straight ahead into the rear of my car.

Yes, but it was a cyclist that taught them how to draft the car in front.
